Agility Classes

Radford K-9 Sports Centre offers agility classes at all levels, for dogs of all ages and size. 

We also offer private puppy classes, basic obedience, and rally obedience.

Outdoor Class size is limited to maximum of 6 dogs for handling and 4 dogs for indoor introduction classes.

All classes are taught using only positive methods.  The use of the clicker will be introduced.

Choke Chains, pinch collars and electronic collars are not permitted.   No flexies.

All dogs must of had Parvovirus and Distemper vaccines at 14 weeks or later.  Titre testing is acceptable in lieu of annual vaccinations.  Please bring vaccine/titre documentation to first class or email a copy to radfordk9sports@shaw.ca

Payment can be made via etransfer to terroxz@shaw.ca

Payment must be received no later than 1 week prior to the start of a set of class.   No refunds 7 days prior to start of class.   

Note:  You are not confirmed for class until payment has been received.

For those interested in becoming part of the local non-profit agility club, Cariboo Agility Team, please talk to Roxanne about a sponsorship to becoming a club member. 

 

The Cariboo Agility Team is an Agility Association of Canada member and holds a sanctioned annual agility trial in 100 Mile House at the end of August where agility enthusiasts from all over the province participate.

Beginner Agility introduction - 4 classes - $100.00

Agility Foundation

Ground work for all dogs who are new to agility.

We will cover intro to clicker training, it's yr choice, start line stays, motivation, target, crate training, arounds, go outs, Cavallettis. collar grab.

Dogs should be 6 months of age or older.

5 weeks for $140

Intro to Agility Equipment

Pre-requisite:  Agility Foundation or previous training in items covered in our foundation training.

For dogs 10 months or older. 

Safe Introduction to each piece of agility equipment - tunnels, jumps, tire, contact trainer, weaves, teeter, table. 

4 classes - $100.00   

Agility Handling 1

Pre-requisite:  Intro to Agility Equipment

For dogs 12 months and older

Different handling options will be discussed.   Work on jump grids, consistant contacts, weave entries, putting a couple of pieces of equipment together.

5 weeks for $140 

Agility Handling 2

Pre-requisite:  Agility Handling 1

For dogs 12 months and older

We will start to work on sequencing and discuss front crosses, rear crosses and blind crosses.  What is your body language telling your dog?    Setting the dogs line.
