Rally Obedience Classes

Radford K-9 Sports Centre offers Rally Obedience classes for competition and fun.

For non-aggressive dogs that have basic obedience.

We offer group or private lessons. Private rate is $50/hr. Group rates $100.00 for 4 classes.

Maximum of 6 dogs.

All classes are taught using only positive methods. The use of the clicker will be introduced.

Pinch collars, choke chains or electronic collars are not permitted. No Flexies.

All dogs must of had Parvovirus and Distemper vaccines at 14 weeks or later. Titre testing is acceptable in lieu of annual vaccinations. Please bring vaccine/titre documentation to first class.

Payment can be made via etransfer to terroxz@shaw.ca, or cheque. Payment must be received no later than 1 week prior to the start of a set of class. No refunds 7 days prior to start of class.

All students will be required to sign our Insurance waiver. To help speed up our first class it would help if ou would click here to print a copy to complete and bring with you to your first class. A copy will also be available at your first class.

Rally Obedience - Introduction

This class is for all dogs starting in rally obedience.

We will be teaching CKC style rally.

Rally is fun obedience, gone are the strict no talking rules of regular competition obedience. Heeling is very important in rally. In rally you perform different tasks at a work station as you follow a course. You can talk to your dog throughout.

Aggressive dogs are not accepted in this class.

In our beginner class we will cover: How to get that great heel. We will do lots and lots of heeling and turning. Going around our dogs and them changing sides. We will start to go over individual signs and how to perform them.

Bring lots of soft treats to class

Class size limited to 5 dogs

Cost: $100.00 for 4 group classes

Rally Obedience - Novice

This class will carry on from the Introductory class.

We will continue working with different station signs. At the end of the class you should be able to perform a few work stations together.
