Obedience/Puppy Classes

Radford K-9 Sports Centre offers Obedience classes for manners at home etc.

We offer group or private lessons. Private rate is $50/hr. Group rates below.

Maximum of 6 dogs.

All classes are taught using only positive methods. The use of the clicker will be introduced.

Pinch collars, choke chains or electronic collars are not permitted. No Flexies.

All dogs must of had Parvovirus and Distemper vaccines at 14 weeks or later. Titre testing is acceptable in lieu of annual vaccinations. Please bring vaccine/titre documentation to first class.

Payment can be made via etransfer to terroxz@shaw.ca, or cash. Payment must be received no later than 1 week prior to the start of a set of class. No refunds 7 days prior to start of class.

All students will be required to sign our Insurance waiver. To help speed up our first class it would help if you would click here to print a copy to complete and bring with you to your first class. A copy will also be available at your first class.

Beginner/Puppy Obedience

This class is for dogs that require basic obedience training.

Aggressive dogs are not accepted in this class.

We will cover: hot zones, reinforcement zone, come when called, walk on leash, it's yr choice, General manners.

Bring lots of soft treats to class

Class size limited to 6 dogs

Cost: $120.00 - 5 weeks

Advanced Obedience

This class is for dogs that have taken the basic obedience class or is familiar with clicker training and have a reliable sit, down and is fairly good leash walking.

We will cover: how to get a perfect heal, sit stays, down stays, stand for exam, call to front.

Bring lots of soft treats to class

Class size limited to 4 dogs

Cost: $120.00 - 5 weeks
